Bagian 1: Halaman 20 (Sebelum Menonton / Before You Watch)

15. Learn the following information carefully. Discuss the questions to find the answers.

Teks Cerita:

Johan (15 years old) entered the classroom with a disheveled face, out of breath because the school gate was almost closed. He complained to the teacher about the difficulties of public transportation, heavy traffic in the morning and recent unfriendly weather. He remembered his biology project and felt he had more tasks to do than the other group members. He felt he was being unfairly treated. He grumbled in his heart that he was always the victims.

Kadek (16 years old) often seems uncertain what the assignment is about. She does most of her work at the last minute. When she hands her task, it always needs revisions. She never focuses on the topic requested and missed the requirement points.

Dona (14 years old) arrives at school 15 minutes before the school bell. All her assignments are meticulously prepared and accurately done. Most of her work is done before the deadline. The teacher likes her work very much because she always put the details in her assignment.

Pertanyaan (Questions):

1. Who has really been mature? Johan, Kadek, or Dona? Give the explanation to your answer.
2. How would you advice Johan and Kadek? Discuss with your friend.

Jawaban (Answers):

1. Dona. Because she is never late for school and is always well-prepared for her assignments.

2. Johan has to be aware of the importance of being punctual. He should not blame others for his lateness because it is clearly his own fault. For Kadek, she has to pay more attention to the details of the assignments. She should start working on her assignments as soon as they are given so that she has enough time to finish them properly and avoid revisions.

Terjemahan Soal dan Jawaban:

Jawaban: Dona. Karena ia tidak pernah terlambat ke sekolah dan selalu mempersiapkan tugas-tugasnya dengan baik.

Jawaban: Johan harus menyadari pentingnya datang tepat waktu. Ia tidak seharusnya menyalahkan orang lain atas keterlambatannya karena itu jelas merupakan kesalahannya sendiri. Untuk Kadek, ia harus lebih memperhatikan detail tugas yang diberikan. Ia sebaiknya mulai mengerjakan tugas segera setelah tugas diberikan sehingga memiliki cukup waktu untuk menyelesaikannya dengan baik dan menghindari revisi.
