Khanna, (Ludhiana), Under the ‘Mawaan-Dhyan Satkar Yojana’ run by the Punjab Government, a two-day training workshop was organized for the Anganwadi workers and Sakhis of Sub-Division Khanna on Saturday and Sunday at Kishori Lal Jethi (Girls) School of Eminence, Khanna to register the eligible beneficiaries of the scheme.
The training workshop was presided over by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Khanna, Smt. Swati Tiwana. He said that correct and timely registration is very important to extend the benefits of ‘Maa-Beti Satkar Yojana’ to every eligible mother and daughter. The role of Anganwadi workers and Sakhis is most important in this work.
Sub Divisional Magistrate Khanna Swati Tiwana said that the registration process is to be started under the ‘Mukhyamantri Maa-Beti Satkar Yojana’ being run by the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann to strengthen the dignity and empowerment of women. The main objective of this scheme is to economically strengthen the women of the state. Under this campaign, registration of eligible women will be done by organizing camps in different villages and cities.
Giving more information about this, SDM Swati Tiwana said that the registration process for the scheme has been made easy so that more and more women can take advantage of it. In the registration training workshop, women were also given information about collecting necessary documents from them to avail the benefits of the scheme. The aim of the government is to ensure that every eligible woman gets the benefits of this scheme and no one is left out. He said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the women associated with this scheme. Praising this initiative of the government, he said that this will not only improve their economic condition but will also give them an opportunity to live with more confidence in their family and society. The government has assured to continue such public-friendly schemes in the coming times, which will further strengthen women’s participation and empowerment.
