UPSC CSE Prelims Result: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially announced the results for the preliminary stage of the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026. Candidates who participated in the exam can now check their results, which have been published on the Commission's official website.


Successful Candidates: A total of 13,343 candidates have qualified for the Main examination. Additionally, 1,046 candidates have passed the preliminary examination for the Indian Forest Service (IFS).


Exam Participation:
Over 5 lakh candidates registered for the exam, with 5.01 lakh actually appearing. The results for one candidate are currently withheld. This recruitment drive aims to fill 933 vacancies, with the selection process including the preliminary exam, the Main examination, and a personality test (interview).


Exam Date:
The UPSC conducted the preliminary examination on May 24, 2026, across 2,073 centers nationwide, in two shifts.


Exam Structure:
The examination comprised two papers: the first was objective with multiple-choice questions, while the second focused on subjects outlined in the examination rules, totaling 400 marks. The answer key was released on May 28, 2026.

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is renowned as one of the most prestigious competitive exams in India, selecting candidates for various central services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Forest Service (IFS).
