Felix was reportedly reprimanded by a member of Portugal’s staff after speaking to an influencer when the national team arrived in Palm Beach for the World Cup.​
A BOLA reported that the Portugal forward was spoken to after giving comments to an influencer that were not permitted upon the national team's arrival.​
The video was published on June 13 as Roberto Martínez’s squad continued preparations for Portugal’s opening match at the 2026 World Cup.​
A BOLA footage claims Joao Felix received a telling-off​
The A BOLA report stated that Felix received a telling-off from a staff member after giving non-permitted comments to an influencer.​
The same report said the winger reacted negatively and was unhappy with the reprimand.​
The incident occurred when Portugal arrived in Palm Beach, where the squad is based ahead of the start of its World Cup campaign.​
