Friends, as we all know that Kota is a famous education hub of Rajasthan, which is witnessed by the whole world, recently Rahul Gandhi visited Kota, before the program, Rahul Gandhi stressed that every paper leak, canceled exam and stalled recruitment process is not just a failure of the system, but a direct attack on the hopes of millions of young Indians. He asked the students to unite and raise their voice against these issues
Thousands of students gathered at Dussehra ground
On Rahul Gandhi’s appeal, thousands of students gathered at Dussehra ground in Kota to participate in the program. In this meeting, the concerns to competitive examinations, employment opportunities and the future of the youth of India were discussed.
“I’m here to talk about your problems.”
Addressing the crowd, Rahul Gandhi said that his visit was not about politics.
“Today, I am not here to discuss BJP, Congress or political matters. I am here only to discuss your concerns.”
Recalling his ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he said that he met lakhs of youth with different dreams. According to him, the current system limits students to a few traditional career options instead of encouraging them to pursue their true passion.
The dreams of youth are being limited
Rahul Gandhi shared an anecdote from his interaction with students. He said that many youth expressed their dreams of becoming actors, dancers and even astrologers. When he asked a group of girls if they wanted to be pilots, no one answered positively. However, after taking some of them on a helicopter ride, they came back inspired and expressed their desire to pursue a career in aviation.
He argued that the current system fails to foster such expectations and does not create opportunities for young people to realize their full potential.
Rahul Gandhi says education is becoming a business
During his interaction with students on the stage, Rahul Gandhi was accompanied only by students – including Saumya Meena, Sania Gupta and Zeeshan Alam – and no other political leaders were present.
Highlighting exam- concerns, he claimed that even though the government collects huge amounts of money from students through various exams, including NEET, malpractices keep happening. “The amount collected from students through examinations is equal to the budget of five ministries. Despite this, paper leaks and examination malpractices continue. Commercialization of education is a crime.”
“Students are facing very difficult situations”
Rahul Gandhi stressed that his aim was not to break the morale of the students, but to understand the challenges faced by them.
“You must continue to dream, and I am sure you will succeed. However, the country must understand the difficult circumstances you are facing.”
He expressed concern over the increasing pressure on students and said that youth should not face so much stress while pursuing education and employment opportunities.
