According to reports from the Daily Mail, Manchester United are evaluating a possible move for former Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville as part of a potential double signing from relegated West Ham United. Discussions suggest that the combined transfer package could reach as much as £140 million.

Summerville made the switch to West Ham in 2024 after the club activated his £28 million release clause following a remarkable Championship campaign with Leeds United, during which he recorded 21 goals and 10 assists and earned several individual accolades.

Though the Dutch forward initially found it difficult to settle in East London, he rediscovered his form in early 2026, scoring six goals in seven appearances across all competitions. Despite West Ham’s 3-0 victory over Leeds United on the final day, Tottenham Hotspur’s win against Everton confirmed West Ham’s relegation.

The same report indicates that West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes is also being monitored by Manchester United. The club is believed to be exploring reinforcements in midfield and on the wings, particularly if Marcus Rashford departs as anticipated.

West Ham are reportedly seeking to make a profit on the £28 million they invested in Summerville. According to The Athletic, the winger’s current valuation stands at roughly £50 million after registering five Premier League goals and two assists in the last campaign.

Summerville’s market value could further rise depending on his performances at the World Cup, which began last weekend, where he scored a well-taken goal on his tournament debut in a 2-2 draw against Ao Tanaka’s Japan.

Following that match, former Leeds United recruitment officer Gaby Ruiz—now working as a broadcaster for DAZN—praised Summerville live on air, recalling how he had once predicted the winger would reach the World Cup stage. Summerville responded by expressing gratitude to both Ruiz and Victor Orta for their continued belief in his abilities.
