A very glorious and historic news has come to light for the Indian expatriates living in France and Sanatan Dharma followers around the world. The country’s first grand and traditional Hindu temple is completely ready in Bussy-Saint-Georges, a major suburb of Paris, the capital of France, whose official inauguration is going to take place in September 2026. Members of the Indian expatriate community living in France welcomed this global announcement with great enthusiasm on Thursday. This temple has been completely molded in the ancient Indian architecture and architectural style, which is going to become a major center of Indian culture, spirituality and global peace in Europe in the coming times. This glorious achievement is also special because being located very close to the famous tourist destination ‘Disneyland Paris’, it will become the main center of attraction for millions of tourists and devotees coming from all over the world. The most unique and miraculous feature of this grand temple is that the stones were carved for months in India and then taken across the sea to France and joined together. It is completely constructed using the ‘Made in India’ method. Indian expatriate members and architecture experts associated with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha said that India’s best and skilled artisans have worked hard day and night for months on special stones to create extremely intricate and supernatural carvings. After completely carving these stones on the sacred soil of India and preparing the structure of the temple, they were transported by sea to France with special security. In Paris, this divine temple has been brought to the ground by connecting these carved stones together without cement (Interlocking System) according to the rules of ancient Indian craftsmanship. After welcoming PM Modi, the enthusiasm of NRIs increased, a 15-day grand festival will be organized in September. Bhavi Parikh, a member of the Indian diaspora living in Paris, expressed his happiness while talking to the global media. He said that after recently giving a grand welcome to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on French soil, we now have another historic opportunity to be proud of. The consecration ceremony of this first traditional Hindu temple of France will be held in September 2026. To commemorate this historical moment, a huge religious and cultural festival is being organized in Paris for 15 consecutive days. The temple management has sent an open invitation to the Hindu community and all other citizens from France, India, Europe and around the world to join the festival. NRIs say that this temple will not just be a place of worship, but it will also become a living medium to introduce the coming generations to the Indian values, the spirit of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and the rich history of Sanatan culture.
