Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar will be available for selection in the team’s upcoming match against Scotland, following Brazil’s recent victory over Haiti.

Speaking at a press conference, Ancelotti said, “Neymar will train individually tomorrow (Saturday) and then, on Monday, he will join the squad and be ready for the game against Scotland.”

The Brazilian No. 10 did not travel with the national team to Philadelphia, which hosted the fixture against Haiti, choosing instead to remain in New Jersey to continue his recovery from a right calf injury.

Neymar has been sidelined since 17 May, when he first suffered swelling in his calf while playing for Santos. Despite being called up for international duty, subsequent medical assessments confirmed a lesion that required up to three weeks of recovery without ball work.

This update from Ancelotti now clears the way for Neymar’s return to action, as Brazil prepares for their next international test against Scotland.
