Today’s transfer updates feature Bayern Munich’s record-breaking valuation of Michael Olise and Arsenal’s active pursuit of Christos Tzolis.

Reports indicate that Real Madrid’s high-profile bid for Julian Alvarez was merely a distraction, with the club’s true focus being on securing Michael Olise as their next Galactico signing.

However, Bayern Munich are firm in their stance of not parting ways with the talented winger. According to Diario AS, Bayern would demand a sum ‘well above’ the current world transfer record – the £198 million fee paid by Paris Saint-Germain to sign Neymar from Barcelona in 2017. PSG are also keen on Olise, but would have to break their own record to make it happen.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are exploring a deal for Club Brugge winger Christos Tzolis. Manager Mikel Arteta is eager to add more match-winning options to his squad, with Tzolis seen as a potential upgrade over Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

The Greek international had an impressive season with Brugge, contributing 51 goals and assists – a tally bettered only by Harry Kane and Michael Olise across Europe. Sky Sports reports that the proposed transfer fee could be around £34 million.

Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Juventus midfielder Khephren Thuram. As per Corriere dello Sport, the Reds are preparing a bid for the Frenchman, with Juventus needing to sell players after missing out on Champions League qualification. Thuram, who was also on Liverpool’s radar in 2023, is believed to be open to a fresh challenge.

In Serie A, Napoli are looking to bring Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario back to Italy. Vicario is understood to be interested in leaving Spurs, and Napoli are open to a deal if they can offload either Alex Meret or Vanja Milinković-Savić. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has also mentioned Juventus as a possible contender should the club fail to secure Emiliano Martínez.

Daniel Farke is eyeing a major signing for Leeds United as they pursue Julian Brandt. The midfielder is set to leave Borussia Dortmund as a free agent, and The Yorkshire Post reports that Farke hopes to persuade his compatriot to join him at Elland Road.

Elsewhere, West Ham United are targeting Wilson Isidor to lead their push for promotion. According to Football League World, the Sunderland striker is a key target for the Hammers as they aim to return to the Premier League.
