In Jaffna too, everyone from children to the elderly learned the tricks of staying healthy. On the occasion of the 12th International Yoga Day, a wonderful confluence of enthusiasm and awareness towards Yoga was seen in different countries of the world including India.
This year’s theme was “Yoga for Healthy Aging”, which gave the message to people of all age groups to lead a healthy and balanced life through Yoga.
External Affairs Minister Dr. S. at a function organized by the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi. Jaishankar led the Yoga Day programme. The Ministry of External Affairs released some pictures on X Post. On this occasion, ambassadors, high commissioners of various countries, members of the diplomatic community and officials of the ministry collectively practiced yoga. The program laid special emphasis on the ability of yoga to strengthen the physical, mental and emotional health of people of all age groups.
The Indian High Commission in Dhaka shared pictures of High Commissioner Dinesh Trivedi doing yoga asanas and presentations on balancing body and mind. Yoga lovers, cultural personalities, Indian expatriate community and people from various sections of Bangladeshi society enthusiastically participated in the group yoga session organized by the Indian Cultural Center in Dhaka. From children to senior citizens, everyone embraced the benefits of yoga and spread the message of a healthy life.
At the same time, about 2,000 people practiced yoga together at the Duraiyappa Stadium in Jaffna, Sri Lanka. A large participation of children, youth and senior citizens was seen in the program. Consul General of India Sai Murali in his address described Yoga as an invaluable heritage given to the humanity of India and said that it provides physical vigor, mental strength and inner balance at every stage of life.
