Lucknow/Varanasi: Indian cricket team’s star pacer Akashdeep has started a new and memorable innings of his life. On Wednesday, Akashdeep tied the knot with his fiancee Akshita Raj on the holy land of religious city Kashi. An unmatched combination of tradition and modernity was seen in this grand and royal wedding ceremony organized in a prestigious five star hotel of Varanasi. Many eminent personalities from sports, politics and glamor world attended this high-profile wedding and wished the new couple a successful married life.
This grand wedding ceremony took place with great pomp in the famous hotel ‘Taj Gange’ of Varanasi. Keeping in mind the city of Mahadev, the main mandap of the wedding was designed on a very special ‘Shiv Temple theme’, which remained the center of attraction. About 300 VVIP guests from India and abroad came to attend this grand wedding. Strict arrangements were made to ensure strict security and privacy, with guests being allowed entry only after scanning the mandatory digital QR code at the main entrance of the hotel.
On this biggest day of his life, Indian cricketer Akashdeep looked very royal. She wore an attractive cream colored sherwani with a matching turban and a red dupatta. The traditional ‘Maur’ (crown) adorning his head was adding to his look. Whereas, bride Akshita Raj was looking very beautiful in a traditional scarlet colored lehenga with heavy embroidery and zardozi work.
Before the main rituals of the wedding, both the families together performed all the pre-wedding rituals with full customs. When the wedding procession started, the groom Raja Akashdeep could not stop himself from dancing to the beats of the band and DJ. He danced vigorously in his own wedding procession, seeing which even the friends and relatives present there were forced to dance. The Dwar Puja ceremony was performed with Vedic chanting by the learned priests of Kashi, after which Akshita put the garland around the neck of Akashdeep. On this special occasion, Bhojpuri industry’s powerstar Pawan Singh also reached the gathering and extended his best wishes to the newly married couple.
Indian bowler Akashdeep and his life partner Akshita Raj, both are originally residents of Sasaram (Rohtas) district of Bihar.
– Before taking seven rounds, Akashdeep had talked to the Peethadhishwar of Bageshwar Dham, Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri through video call and took his blessings.
Along with this, the cricketer also contacted renowned Jagadguru Rambhadracharya on video call and received his divine guidance and blessings.
– Due to his excellent performance on the cricket field, the Bihar government gave a big gift to Akashdeep by appointing him to the post of DSP in Bihar Police just four days before his marriage.
