After a long wait, the new state and regional executive of Uttar Pradesh BJP was announced on Thursday. State President Pankaj Chaudhary has indicated major changes in the organization while releasing the list of 64 office bearers. In the new team, 46 new faces have been given responsibilities, while 18 old officials have got a second chance.

A total of 52 leaders have been given place in the state executive. These include 19 State Vice Presidents, 8 State General Secretaries, 19 State Ministers and 6 Morcha Presidents. Apart from this, 6 regional vice-presidents, 3 office ministers and 3 other officials have also been appointed. Efforts are visible in the new team to solve many political and social equations.

Pooja Pal was made the state vice president

MLA Pooja Pal, who left Samajwadi Party and joined BJP, has been made the state vice president. Neeraj Singh has also got the responsibility of state vice president. Rohit Mishra of Pratapgarh has been appointed state president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha.

Math MLA Rajesh Chaudhary and Abhijat Mishra have been made state general secretaries. Ankar Sharma, associated with the personal staff of Union Home Minister Amit Shah, has been made the state minister. Senior journalist Yatendra Sharma has also got the responsibility of state minister in the organization. Former minister Suresh Rana and Kisan Morcha state president Kameshwar Singh have been made state vice presidents.

Special focus on social equations

Social balance has been given special importance in the new executive. A total of 13 women have got a place in the team. Compared to the previous executive, the number of Other Backward Class (OBC) leaders has increased from 16 to 25. Whereas the representation of Scheduled Caste category has decreased from 8 to 5. The number of Thakur leaders has reduced from 7 to 6 and the number of Brahmin leaders has reduced from 8 to 6. Three leaders each from Gurjar and Bhumihar communities have been given the responsibility, while two leaders from Vaishya community have got the place.

Major reshuffle among Vice President and General Ministers

This time the number of state vice presidents has been increased from 18 to 19. Among these, Satyapal Saini, Braj Bahadur, Mohit Beniwal and Dharmendra Singh have got a second chance, while 15 new faces have been included. Only Sanjay Rai has been successful in saving his place among the eight posts of state general ministers. New faces have been given a chance on all the remaining posts.

The team came forward after six months

It is noteworthy that Pankaj Chaudhary was made the state president of Uttar Pradesh BJP on 14 December 2025. About six months after becoming the president, he has announced his first full state executive. Political experts are seeing this as a preparation for the 2027 assembly elections, in which BJP has given a clear message of creating new social and political equations.

The team has the highest number of leaders from OBC community, whose number is 24. With the inclusion of state president Pankaj Chaudhary, there are 25 OBCs in the BJP organization in UP. Brahmin leaders are on second number. In recent times, the Brahmin community was angry with BJP on many issues. 13 Brahmins have got place in the new team. There are eight Dalits in the state team. There are 13 women.

46 people have got a chance for the first time in the new team of UP BJP. There are 18 old people in it. Priyanka Rawat, who was made Vice President, and Upendra Rawat, who was made General Secretary, are former MPs. Suresh Rana has been a minister in the Yogi government in 2017.
