Instructions have been given to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the Assembly in the case related to the conspiracy to murder the fiancee in Lohgarh in Pune district. Earlier, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA Sunil Shelke raised this issue in the House and demanded that the case be heard in a fast track court. Meanwhile, Sudhir Mungantiwar from his seat itself demanded the formation of a SIT to investigate this matter.

After which acting president Raju Khare gave instructions to constitute SIT in the case. However, objecting to this, Bhaskar Jadhav raised the question whether the acting president has the authority to give such instructions. It was clarified that the final decision in this regard will be taken by the Assembly Speaker.

NCP member Sunil Shelke raised the issue in the Assembly and demanded that Goyal family members should also be made accused in the murder case. He claimed that the Goyal family had hidden information about Sia's relationship with another man from the Agarwal family, and urged that the murder case be tried in a fast-track court.

Appeal to provide justice to the victim's family

After this, Khare directed the government to constitute a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate the murder. Shelke appealed to the state government to provide justice to the victim's family. The MLA pointed out that Ketan Agarwal's family was initially told that his death was an accident; However, later detailed investigation by the police revealed that it was a case of murder.

Pune Rural SP's efforts appreciated

He praised the efforts of Pune Rural Superintendent of Police and the investigation team and said that their thorough investigation. Which included collecting evidence and recording statements of witnesses brought out the truth. “What was initially reported to be an accident turned out to be a case of murder after a detailed police investigation,” he said.

Demand for hearing in fast-track court

He also mentioned the alleged relationship between accused Siya Goyal and her lover and claimed that phone call records and other evidence had emerged during the investigation. Shelke urged the authorities to thoroughly investigate all aspects of the case and demanded a trial in a fast-track court. He said, “If justice is to be provided to Ketan Agarwal and his family, the state government should take proper cognizance of this matter and ensure necessary action.” The MLA appealed to the government to keep a close eye on the case and punish the culprits.

Shiv Sena UBT and BJP MLA also gave arguments

However, opposition party Shiv Sena (UBT) member Bhaskar Jadhav raised questions whether the presiding officer's direction is binding on the government. He cited past examples when the Chief Minister had overturned the decisions of the Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Council. He claimed that the decision of the presiding officer of the assembly was also not implemented. BJP member Sudhir Mungantiwar said that the rules of Legislative Council and Assembly are different.
