The Netherlands secured top spot in Group F at the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a convincing 3-1 victory over Tunisia on Thursday.

The match was played at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, United States, with Mexican referee Katia García in charge.

The Dutch made a dream start, taking the lead in the third minute when Tunisia defender Ellyes Skhiri accidentally turned the ball into his own net. Just four minutes later, striker Brian Brobbey doubled the advantage to put the Netherlands firmly in control.

Tunisia pulled one back in the 54th minute through forward Hazem Mastouri, briefly raising hopes of a comeback. However, defender Jan Paul van Hecke restored the Netherlands' two-goal cushion with a strike in the 62nd minute to seal a 3-1 win.

The result saw the Netherlands finish first in Group F with seven points from three matches. Tunisia ended its World Cup campaign at the bottom of the standings, losing all three group-stage games without earning a point.
