Material

  • 1 cup moong dal (soaked for 4 to 5 hours)
  • 2 boiled potatoes
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 1 small carrot grated
  • 2 green chillies finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Coriander
  • 1 tsp red chillies
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp roasted cumin seeds
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs

First, drain the water from the soaked moong dal and slice it thickly. Mash the boiled potatoes and mix it. Now add onion, carrot, green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, coriander, chillies, garam masala, cumin, salt and breadcrumbs and mix well. Make small round or oval cutlets of the prepared mixture. Heat a pan and spread some oil on it. Shallow fry the cutlets well until golden and crispy on both sides. You can also prepare it in air fryer in less oil if you want. Serve hot moong dal cutlets with green chutney, tomato sauce or yogurt dip. This breakfast is more delicious with tea.
