Selection of monsoon clothes

Monsoon season brings cool winds and relief, but it is necessary to be careful while choosing clothes during this time. Wrong fabric or heavy clothes can remain wet for a long time, causing body odor and feeling uncomfortable. So it is best to choose lightweight, quick-drying and breathable fabrics.

During the rainy season, people are not only concerned about looking stylish, but also need to avoid stickiness and moisture. Experts say that one should wear clothes that are comfortable, dry quickly and make one feel fresh throughout the day. Choosing the right clothes can help you enjoy monsoon.

Choose lightweight and quick-drying fabrics

Fabrics like cotton-blend, rayon, polyester blend or dry-fit are best suited in monsoon. These clothes dry quickly and do not remain wet for long, which provides comfort in wearing.

wear dark clothes

Mud and water splashes are normal during the rainy season. In such a situation, dark colored clothes like navy blue, black, grey, dark green or maroon are more practical, because stains and dirt are less visible on them.

wear loose and comfortable clothes

Very tight clothes stick to the body after getting wet in the rain, which causes discomfort. Wearing light and slightly loose clothes maintains air flow and provides comfort.

Choose shorter length bottoms

It is better to wear ankle-length trousers, cropped pants, capris or knee-length bottoms instead of full-length jeans or long pants. Due to this, the clothes do not rub on the ground and do not get dirty quickly.

Avoid heavy denim

Jeans become quite heavy after getting wet in the rain and take more time to dry. Therefore, it is more convenient to wear trousers, joggers or quick-dry pants made of light fabric in monsoon.

Choose the right footwear

Wear rubber sandals, floaters or water-resistant footwear instead of leather shoes or cloth sneakers. They dry quickly and also reduce the risk of slipping.

Carry a light jacket or raincoat

The rainy season can change anytime. In such a situation, it is a good option to keep a light raincoat or waterproof jacket in the bag, so that you can avoid getting wet even in case of sudden rain.

Avoid wearing transparent clothes

During the rainy season, do not wear such clothes which are see-through. After getting wet in water, transparent clothes look very bad on the body, which can make you feel uncomfortable.
