Everyone wants to eat some sweet food in the dinner plate. Sweets, sugar or chocolate etc. are bought and consumed. But after getting tired of eating the same food all the time, everyone wants to try new food. In that case, you can make soft, luscious, melt-in-the-mouth sweet potato gulab jam. Sweet potatoes are eaten very fondly on fasting days. Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin C, vitamin C, fiber and potassium. Therefore, potatoes should be included in the diet. Potatoes should be included in the diet to improve the weakened immunity of the body. Vitamin A found in sweet potato protects the eyes and helps in improving vision. Materials:

  • sweet potato
  • sugar
  • Saffron
  • Cardamom powder
  • Amaranth flour
  • ghee
  • water

Action:

  • To make gulab jam first, take water in a pot and mix it with sugar and saffron sticks. Keep the prepared mixture on the gas to heat.
  • After the boiled yam cools down completely, remove the skin and mash it with your hands. Add amajira flour and cardamom powder to the mashed sweet potato and knead the dough.
  • After kneading a soft ball like chapati dough, cover it for sometime and keep the dough aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Make small gulabjams of the prepared dough and leave it to fry in hot oil in a pan.
  • Keep the gas on low flame and fry the gulab jam. This will ensure that the gulab jams are roasted properly and the gulab jams will not turn black.
  • Add the roasted Gulabjam to the prepared sugar syrup and keep it for simmering.
