New Delhi: Congress MP Manish Tewari appeared to signal his disappointment on Thursday after he was omitted from the party’s freshly announced organisational lineup and the election teams for Punjab ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.
The AICC’s major Punjab reshuffle, unveiled on Wednesday, distributed key election duties among senior leaders but left Tewari out of significant roles. Of Punjab’s seven Congress MPs, six were assigned election- responsibilities, as reported by The Statesman.
Posting on X, the former Union minister shared a terse message widely interpreted as expressing dissatisfaction.
“Wish I had an antidote for the insecurities of individuals and institutions! Having said that @INCIndia has given me enough over the past 45 years and I have also devoted my entire adult life in the service of the Indian National Congress over the decades,” he wrote.
He closed the post with: “Que sera, sera, Whatever will be, will be…”
The message followed media coverage noting Tewari’s absence from the AICC’s latest Punjab appointments.
