Indian Railways: Indian Railways will launch a new weekly express train between Nanded and Tanakpur starting July 6, offering improved travel facilities for passengers from UP, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand.

Nanded-Tanakpur Express: Indian Railways has taken a significant decision to benefit passengers who frequently travel between Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand. A new weekly express train service between Nanded (Maharashtra) and Tanakpur (Uttarakhand) is set to commence on July 6. This service is expected to benefit thousands of passengers across these four states.

The service will originate from Tanakpur. For long-distance travelers, this service promises a superior and more comfortable journey compared to previous options. Here are the details regarding the train's route, timings, and other essential information.

Which stations will it pass through?

The train will travel via Tanakpur, Khatima, Mathura, Agra Cantt, Gwalior, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Bina, Pilibhit, Izzatnagar, Bareilly, Budaun, Kasganj, Rani Kamlapati, Itarsi, Khandwa, Malkapur, Akola, Washim, Hingoli, Basmat, and Purna before reaching Nanded. The launch of this new train will further enhance rail connectivity between Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.

Amenities available on the train

The inaugural special train running on July 6 will consist of 19 coaches.
It will include Second Class, Sleeper, AC-3, AC-2, luggage, and generator coaches.
For regular service, the train will operate with 21 coaches.
The composition will include two AC-2, four AC-3, eight Sleeper, four General Class, one pantry car, one LSLRD, and one generator-cum-luggage coach.

Inaugural and Regular Service Timings

July 6: The inaugural special train (05012) will depart from Tanakpur at 10:45 AM and reach Nanded at 6:00 PM the following day.
From July 12: The regular Nanded-Tanakpur Express (17631) will depart from Nanded every Sunday at 11:40 PM and reach Tanakpur at 5:55 AM on the third day.
From July 14: The regular Tanakpur-Nanded Express (17632) will depart from Tanakpur every Tuesday at 9:00 AM and reach Nanded at 4:30 PM the following day.
