Switzerland are aiming to reach the quarter-finals for the first time in more than seven decades.

The Swiss side previously made it to the last eight on three occasions during their first four World Cup outings, but since then, they have only managed to progress as far as the Round of 16.

Colombia, on the other hand, achieved their best-ever World Cup result in 2014 when they advanced to the quarter-finals.

While this fixture may not be considered one of the glamour matchups of the tournament, both teams are tactically strong and well-prepared, making it a tough contest to call. So, who will ITV have covering this evening’s encounter?

The complete line-up of presenters, commentators, and pundits for the Switzerland vs Colombia broadcast, which kicks off at 9pm BST, has now been announced.

Fronting ITV’s coverage will be the highly regarded presenter Laura Woods, known for her extensive experience covering Premier League and Champions League football.

Joining Woods in the ITV studio, set against the impressive Manhattan skyline, are Duncan Ferguson, Karen Carney, and Jobi McAnuff.

The ITV punditry team have been meticulous throughout the tournament, and their analysis for this fixture promises to be equally comprehensive.

Viewers can expect in-depth discussion on Newcastle United target Johan Manzambi, as well as debate over whether former Liverpool star Luis Diaz will be the decisive factor for Colombia.

Although Ferguson and McAnuff have not featured as players at a men’s World Cup, Carney brings valuable experience, having represented England at four editions of the tournament and making 15 World Cup appearances for the Lionesses.

Kick-off for the Switzerland vs Colombia match is scheduled for 9pm BST.

On commentary duty this evening will be Seb Hutchinson, accompanied by former Premier League winger and noted food enthusiast Andros Townsend.

The winner of this last-16 tie between Switzerland and Colombia will face either Argentina or Egypt in the quarter-finals. That match is set to take place at 2am BST on Sunday, July 12.
