Indian Army Notification 2026: The Indian Army has invited applications for the 68th Short Service Commission (SSC) Technical Women's Course. Under this scheme, unmarried female engineering graduates can apply to become officers in the Army. Interested candidates can apply online from July 8, 2026, to August 6, 2026.

Additionally, a special entry provision has been made for widows of defense personnel in both technical and non-technical categories. Training for this course will commence in April 2027 at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Gaya, Bihar.

**What are the eligibility criteria?**
Candidates must be unmarried female engineering graduates.
Final-year engineering students may also apply, provided their results are declared by April 1, 2027.
For SSCW (Tech)-68, the candidate's age must be between 20 and 27 years as of April 1, 2027.
This means the candidate must have been born between April 1, 2000, and March 31, 2007.
There is a special provision for widows of defense personnel who were martyred in the line of duty.
The maximum age limit for such widows is set at 35 years.

**What is the selection process?**
Candidates for this Indian Army recruitment will be selected through a multi-stage process. Initially, applications will be scrutinized and shortlisted. Subsequently, shortlisted candidates will be called for a 5-day SSB interview. Candidates who qualify the SSB will undergo a medical examination. Finally, a merit list will be released, and selected candidates will be issued joining letters.

What are the physical standards?
Candidates must also be physically fit. This requires completing a 2.4 km run within 13 minutes. Additionally, candidates must be capable of performing 15 push-ups, 2 pull-ups, and 25 sit-ups. Basic swimming skills are also required to ensure there are no difficulties during training.

Fill out the online registration form and complete verification using your Aadhaar or matriculation certificate.
After logging in, click on "Apply Online" and select the "Short Service Commission (Technical) Course."
Enter your personal details, educational qualifications, contact information, and previous SSB records (if any).
Thoroughly review all the information entered in the application form.
Once all details are verified as correct, click the "Submit" button.
