New Delhi. Former Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Hasina has made a big announcement on Friday. She said that she will return to Bangladesh in December this year and will surrender after reaching there. Sheikh Hasina said that she was fully aware that she could be arrested upon returning to the country. She may even be murdered, but still she will go back.
In an interview to news agency Reuters, Sheikh Hasina said that she along with her senior party colleagues will end their exile in India around December and return home and surrender in court.
Let us tell you that Sheikh Hasina, who is facing death sentence in Bangladesh and is facing ban on her party (Awami League), said that she wants to present herself before the court in her country and see how the government of Bangladesh behaves with its most prominent political rival. Sheikh Hasina, the South Asian country’s longest-serving ruler, said she and her Awami League members wanted to voluntarily return to the country they fled two years ago.
