Written, directed and produced by Aditya Dhar, and produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, 'Dhurandhar' now reaches its next phase, bringing a grand cinematic experience to the audiences in Japan.
Presented by Jio Studios and produced by B62 Studios, the film was released in India on December 5, 2025 and has since emerged as one of the biggest theatrical successes of Hindi cinema. The film has a strong star cast including Ranveer Singh, Akshay Khanna, Rakesh Bedi, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun.
Its sequel, 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge', released in March 2026 and further increased the global success of the franchise. With its stellar box office performance, the series crossed the ₹3,000 crore mark worldwide, becoming the first Indian film franchise to achieve this feat.
From December 2025, whenever Indian films are discussed, the name of Aditya Dhar's 'Dhurandhar' franchise definitely comes up. Both the first and second parts have created a stir at the box office.
With the stellar performances of both the parts, the total worldwide earnings of the 'Dhurandhar' duology has now crossed the Rs 3000 crore mark, making it the first Indian film series to achieve this extraordinary feat. It is produced by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar and Lokesh Dhar under the banner of Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
Ahead of the release of 'Dhurandhar' on December 5, 2025, trade experts had some doubts, even though there was a good amount of buzz around the film. However, as soon as it hit the big screen, it started doing something very special at the box office.
