BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar Bunty has withdrawn his nomination from Bankipur assembly by-election. He submitted a letter to State President Sanjay Saraogi informing him about withdrawing his name. He has cited family reasons for withdrawing his nomination. After Abhishek Bunty's withdrawal from the election field, BJP has now started searching for a new candidate for Bankipur seat. Prashant Kishore is contesting from this seat for the first time from Jansuraj Party.
