Punjab Police attacks drug network, hundreds of smugglers arrested, panic among those doing ‘poison business’

Punjab Police conducted a special checking campaign in Mansa district under 'Operation Prahar-3'. During this operation, the police registered 32 cases and arrested more than 200 anti-social elements and drug smugglers. This campaign is part of the war against drugs campaign. Under this, Punjab Police is continuously taking action against drug smugglers and anti-social elements. Mansa Police has formed different teams across the district for this campaign.

Mansa SSP Bhagirath Singh said that under 'Operation Prahar-3', about 200 anti-social elements have been arrested. Police have registered 32 cases. Further legal action has been initiated. During this operation, six absconding criminals have also been arrested.

What was recovered?

The SSP also informed that in 32 NDPS (narcotic drugs and psychoactive substances) cases, about 79 grams of heroin and more than 300 drug pills and capsules have been recovered. He reiterated that police action against drug abuse will continue without any interruption and no criminal will be spared.

Know about Operation Prahar-3

Operation Prahar-3 of Punjab Police is a special operation conducted against drug trafficking, gangster networks and organized crime in the state. Under this campaign, the police conducted simultaneous raids in different districts. Its main objective was to interrogate suspects, arrest wanted criminals and recover illegal weapons and drugs.

The objective of this campaign is to strengthen law and order, crack down on criminals and increase the sense of security among the general public. Punjab Police has made it clear that such campaigns will continue in future also to free the state from crime and drug networks.
