Addressing a huge public meeting held in Gorakhpur, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a sharp attack on the Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress. The Chief Minister said that whenever these parties got a chance, they have attacked the beliefs and values of India. Taking aim at SP, he said, “SP’s history is stained with the blood of Ram devotees.” At the same time, cornering the Congress, the CM reminded how during the government at the Centre, the Congress had made a malicious attempt to prove Lord Shri Ram and Shri Krishna as ‘imaginary’ by giving an affidavit in the Supreme Court.

‘Caste politics hinders development’

CM Yogi said that the basis of politics of Congress and SP has always been to divide the society in the name of caste and class, which is the biggest obstacle in the development of the state. He alleged that during the rule of these parties, instead of development, there was only insult to Hindus. Giving the example of Congress’s opposition to the then President Dr. Rajendra Prasad at the time of consecration of Somnath Temple, he said that Congress has been playing with Hindu faith since the beginning.

‘The opposition is unable to digest the balance between heritage and development’

The Chief Minister further said that today under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi, the ‘double engine’ government of BJP is moving ahead with the vision of heritage conservation and development, which SP and Congress are not able to digest. He reminded that before 2017, there was neither development in Uttar Pradesh nor did the benefits of the schemes reach the general public. At that time there was an outbreak of encephalitis in the state and backwardness was prevalent. Today, due to the double engine government, the ray of development is reaching every home.

Gorakhpur got a gift of Rs 758 crore

During the public meeting, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 24 development projects worth more than Rs 758 crore for Pipraich assembly constituency. This mainly includes the inauguration of Bhathat-Bansthan four lane road. CM said that the better the connectivity, the faster will be the pace of development. Construction of four-lane roads will not only make transportation easier but will also open new employment opportunities. He said that where earlier people could not even think of building roads, today four-lane roads are being built there.

distributed happiness to beneficiaries

The Chief Minister also honored the beneficiaries of various government schemes from the stage of the ceremony. He distributed toolkits, loan checks and laptops under several schemes including ‘Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana’, ‘Mukhyamantri Yuva Yojana’ and ‘ODOP’. Before the program, he visited the Vamant Mata temple located in Bansthan and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of the people of the state.
