He said that no one should be in a hurry to become the Chief Minister. In fact, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut and NCP (SP) MLA Rohit Pawar created a stir in political circles on Saturday by saying that if Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is made the Union Minister in Delhi, Chandrashekhar Bawankule will become the next Chief Minister. Although he did not claim that Fadnavis is going to Delhi, but he said that there is such a possibility. MLA Rohit Pawar also said that the influence of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has also increased in Delhi and the state leaders and top BJP leaders are supporting him.

Raut claimed that Fadnavis himself would recommend Bawankule, who is currently holding the revenue ministry. He also said that Fadnavis should become Prime Minister before 2029.
