A speedboat capsized on Saturday (July 11) near Phu Quoc island of Vietnam. 15 Indians died in this tragic accident. The dead include 10 people from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Andhra Pradesh and 2 from Kerala. Today (Monday, July 13) the bodies of the tourists will be brought to India. The Indian Embassy in Vietnam gave this information.
The Indian Embassy has shared a post on social media, in which it has been told that the bodies will reach Mumbai from Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnam Airlines flight VN979. The flight will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 6 pm local time today and reach Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport at 9:35 pm Indian time.
"The mortal remains of 15 Indian nationals who tragically lost their lives in the July 11 boat accident will be flown to India today from Ho Chi Minh City on Vietnam Airlines flight VN979," the embassy said in the post. Along with this, the embassy has informed the concerned state governments and requested them to coordinate with the affected families so that the bodies can be transported to their final destination. “The Embassy in Hanoi and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City extend our prayers to the families of the deceased,” the embassy said. We are available for any assistance'.

The accident took place on Saturday when a speedboat carrying 32 Indian tourists and 4 local crew members capsized about 400 meters near Phu Quoc island. 15 Indian tourists died in the accident while 17 were saved. The embassy said that 16 out of 17 injured have been discharged from the hospital and are returning to India. The condition of one of the injured is still critical and he is admitted to a hospital in Phu Quoc where he is undergoing treatment.
The dead include 10 tourists from Tamil Nadu, 3 from Andhra Pradesh and 2 from Kerala. All three state governments have issued helpline numbers to help the affected families. According to the report, the tourists were returning from an island tour when the boat capsized. Other tourist boats nearby and Vietnamese rescue agencies immediately conducted search-and-rescue operations and saved lives. After this accident, Vietnam Police has taken the captain of the speedboat into custody.
