Delhi Weather – July 15, 2026: Heavy rainfall continues across many parts of the country. Continuous rain in some areas has caused significant hardship for residents, leading to road waterlogging and major commuting difficulties. Meanwhile, people in some states are finding no relief from the scorching heat. Rainfall has largely subsided in several parts of North India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rain at several locations in the North-Eastern states—Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura—on July 15.
The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rain in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, and Sikkim. Warnings regarding thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and strong winds have also been issued for these regions. Additionally, alerts for heavy rain have been issued today for parts of Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
Delhi-NCR Weather Forecast
According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi-NCR will experience mixed weather conditions today. Daytime temperatures will hover around 38°C, though cloud cover and light drizzle may offer some relief. On July 15, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 38°C, with a minimum of 28°C. Partly cloudy skies are expected on July 16 as well. Light rain amid the humid heat is likely to bring some relief to residents of Delhi-NCR.
Uttar Pradesh Weather Update
The Meteorological Department has issued a rainfall alert for various locations between July 15 and July 19. Light rain is expected in Eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 15 to July 17, followed by an alert for heavy rainfall between July 17 and July 19. Heavy rain is likely in several districts of Eastern UP on July 18 and 19. Intermittent light-to-moderate rainfall is expected to continue in areas such as Meerut, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, and Bijnor from July 15 to July 20.

Heavy Rain Warning for Bihar
The monsoon has become fully active in Bihar as well. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for heavy rainfall across large parts of the state on July 15 and 16. Very heavy rainfall is likely in some districts today, July 15, potentially leading to flood-like conditions. Warnings for heavy rain have also been issued for several areas between July 16 and July 20.
Heavy Rain During Rath Yatra
An alert for heavy rainfall has been issued for several parts of Odisha, including Puri, during the Rath Yatra. The Rath Yatra is scheduled to take place in Puri on July 16. According to the Meteorological Department, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the Bay of Bengal and the coast of western Bangladesh within the next 24 hours. The department has already issued an alert.
