Tezzbuzz Desk- Children like the Crispy Potato Smileys available in the market, but they often contain flour and various types of preservatives. If you want to feed a tasty and healthy snack to your children, then you can easily prepare Potato Smiley Balls at home without flour.
In this recipe, corn flour and rice flour have been used instead of flour, due to which the smileys become crispy from outside and soft from inside. It can be prepared for breakfast, evening tea or even children’s tiffin.
First of all, mash the boiled potatoes well. Take care that there are no lumps left in the potatoes, otherwise the shape of the smiley will not be correct.
Now add corn flour, rice flour, salt, red chili powder, black pepper, chaat masala, garlic powder and green coriander to the mashed potatoes and mix well.
Keep the prepared mixture in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes. This will set the mixture well and it will be easy to make smileys.
After this, make small balls of the mixture and press them lightly. Prepare smiley by giving shape of smile with the help of spoon and eyes with the help of straw.
Now heat oil in a pan and fry the smiley balls on low flame until they become golden and crisp.
If you want to eat a snack with less oil, you can also prepare Potato Smiley in the air fryer. This preserves the taste and makes it a more healthy option. Serve prepared smiley balls hot with tomato ketchup, green chutney or cheese dip.
