NTA Vacancy: The National Testing Agency (NTA)—which has been mired in controversy following incidents like the NEET-UG paper leak—has invited applications for recruitment to several posts. According to the notification, recruitment for Group A and Group B posts will be conducted on a deputation or foreign service basis. Interested and eligible officers may apply following the prescribed procedure by 5:00 PM on August 7, 2026. Applications must be submitted through the respective Cadre Controlling Authority or parent department.

The notification specifies that recruitment will be made for a total of nine posts. These include the positions of Joint Director, Research Scientist ‘C’, Deputy Director, Assistant Director, and Senior Superintendent/Senior Superintendent (Accounts). The pay scales for these posts range from Pay Level 7 to Pay Level 12, in accordance with the 7th Pay Commission.

**Deputation for Three Years**
According to the NTA, the deputation of officers will initially be for a period of three years. Preference will be given to officers with experience in the fields of education, technical operations, administration, finance, or law. Additionally, candidates possessing extensive experience in conducting examinations, planning, coordination, and exam management will be prioritized.

**What is the Age Limit?**
The NTA has set a maximum age limit of 56 years for this recruitment. Candidates must fulfill the prescribed educational qualifications, experience, and service-related eligibility criteria for the respective post by the closing date. Only officers currently serving regularly at the relevant pay level are eligible to apply; officers who have attained the equivalent pay level through ACP, MACP, or on an ad-hoc basis are not eligible.

**Which Documents are Required?**
It is mandatory to attach the department's No Objection Certificate (NOC), Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APAR) from previous years, vigilance clearance, an integrity certificate, and other necessary documents along with the application form. Incomplete applications or those not submitted according to the prescribed procedure will not be accepted.
