Leftover idlis can be easily made into many tasty recipes like finger chips, idli pakora, idli upma, and dahi vada. Let's learn how to make them.

Crispy finger chips will be made in minutes

Cut the remaining idli into long sticks. Sprinkle with a little water, then season with cornflour, salt, and pepper. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Finally, sprinkle with black salt, chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and red chili powder and serve.

Idli Pakora will give a new taste.

Prepare a batter by mixing gram flour with salt, red chili, turmeric, and celery. Meanwhile, prepare the spicy potato stuffing. Cut the idlis into triangles and fill them with the potato stuffing along with green and sweet chutney. Then dip them in the gram flour batter and fry them over low heat until golden brown.

Idli Upma will make a quick breakfast.

Heat oil in a pan. Fry mustard seeds, curry leaves, green chilies, asafoetida, and onions. Then add turmeric, salt, red chili, a little sugar, lemon juice, and a little water. Add the chopped idlis and mix well. Top with coriander leaves, sev, onions, pomegranate seeds, and coconut shavings and serve.

You will also get the taste of Dahi Vada.

Place the idlis on a plate and pour whipped yogurt over them. Then sprinkle with green chutney, sweet chutney, black salt, roasted cumin powder, chaat masala, and red chili powder. Finally, garnish with coriander, green chilies, sev, and pomegranate seeds. In just a few minutes, you'll have a dahi vada-like treat ready.
