Priyanka Chopra celebrated her 44th birthday on July 18, and the occasion was marked with the release of fresh stills from her upcoming Telugu film Varanasi. A day later, her husband, singer-actor Nick Jonas, gave fans a glimpse of their bond with a heartfelt birthday tribute on social media.
On Sunday, Nick shared a video on Instagram that appeared to be from the couple's holiday in Spain. The clip begins with a scenic view from their yacht before turning to Priyanka, who is seen smiling as she poses in a bikini and a matching cover-up. Wearing sunglasses and a bandanna, the actor looked at ease before blowing a flying kiss towards Nick.
Alongside the video, he wrote, “¡Feliz cumpleaños! Mi amor (Happy birthday, my love),” adding a heart emoji. Nick paired the post with Café de Granada – Acoustic Flamenco Guitar by Navrexo.
The birthday post comes shortly after Priyanka's appearance on the Jonas Brothers' podcast, where the couple revisited the beginning of their relationship. During the conversation, Nick revealed that it was his brother Kevin Jonas who first introduced him to Quantico. He also shared a screenshot of the very first message he sent to Priyanka.
Nick's opening text read, "Hello. I've heard from a few people that we should meet. I have to agree with these people. Are you in LA anytime soon?" Priyanka replied, "Hey. Graham's told me so much about you. Let's text. More private. My team can access this." As Kevin and Joe Jonas read the exchange aloud, both Nick and Priyanka laughed through the moment and appeared visibly embarrassed.
Their story began with Nick's direct message to Priyanka in 2016. After staying in touch for several months, they finally met in person at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in 2017. Later that year, they attended the Met Gala together, fuelling speculation about their relationship. Nick proposed in 2018, and the couple married later that year in a lavish wedding celebration in Udaipur. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Malti Marie, via surrogacy. Since then, both have frequently expressed their affection for each other through social media posts and interviews.
On the work front, Priyanka is set to make her return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli's Varanasi. The film stars Mahesh Babu as Rudhra and Prithviraj Sukumaran as Kumbha, while Priyanka will be seen as Mandakini. The newly released birthday stills showcased her in a striking sheer black corset, hinting at a powerful screen presence. Varanasi is slated to hit theatres in April 2027.
