Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has recently made his sharpest attack on the Central Government over the alleged police brutality on the students protesting at Jantar Mantar. Demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, he bluntly said that strictest action should be taken against the policemen and officials who indulge in brutality on students. Along with this, he demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi should publicly apologize to crores of students of the country and their families. Making serious allegations, Rahul Gandhi said that during the last 10 years, a total of 152 incidents of paper leaks have been reported across the country, but despite such huge negligence, no culprit has been punished till now, due to which the future of the youth of the country is hanging in the balance.

Rahul arrived with a black band on his hand, raised questions on the education system

Rahul Gandhi attended the press conference with a black band tied on his hand. He clarified that this protest is a symbol of protest against the recent police action against students. He said that today the education system of our country is going through a very serious and dangerous crisis. Rahul said that the Indian education system, which was once known for its excellent quality throughout the world, has today become a completely messed up and biased system.

Directly attacking the Education Minister, Rahul Gandhi said that Dharmendra Pradhan has completely ruined the future of millions of students of the country. He should resign from his post without any delay as he has proved to be a complete failure in handling this important responsibility. He also accused the government of failing miserably to protect the credibility of the country’s examination system.

‘What mistake did the students commit, why were they lathicharged?’

Rahul Gandhi raised sharp questions regarding the lathi charge and use of force on the students protesting at Jantar Mantar. He said that what mistake had these innocent students of our country committed that they were brutally lathicharged? He was dragged by the police and badly humiliated. Why were the students who were on the streets demanding a fair and transparent examination system, treated in such an inhumane manner?

Rahul Gandhi said that these protesting students are not making any demand which cannot be fulfilled. They just want that they should get a fair, clean and reliable education system, which is their basic right and the whole country is indebted to them for this.

‘152 papers were leaked, but not a single culprit was punished’

The former Congress President made a big claim and said that in the last ten years, a total of 152 paper leak incidents have taken place across the country. This means that almost every month a paper has been leaked in the country, yet the government has not been successful in punishing even a single big culprit. According to him, due to this gross negligence, approximately 7.5 crore students and their families of the country have been directly affected.

He said that lakhs of poor and middle class families spend their hard-earned money on the higher education of their children. Families save every penny to educate their children, but due to repeated paper leaks, all their hopes are dashed in one fell swoop. Some force or the other is systematically ruining the education system of the country and the government is still engaged in saving these responsible people. Preparing for competitive exams puts such a heavy financial burden on families that the amount spent on preparing for a major exam is equal to the total education budget of the government. Due to continuous paper leaks, many students have gone under deep mental stress and some have even committed suicide in despair. These are no longer isolated isolated incidents, but have become a huge national crisis facing the country.

BJP’s counterattack and political turmoil

On the other hand, Bharatiya Janata Party has termed all these allegations of Rahul Gandhi and the protest outside the Prime Minister’s residence as completely ‘childish’. BJP alleged that despite the Parliament session being in progress, the Congress party is unnecessarily creating an atmosphere of confrontation and politics in the country. The ruling party also organized its own separate protest in response to this protest by the Congress.

Let us tell you that Rahul Gandhi has already raised the demand for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan several times. He has been continuously alleging that the continuous paper leak cases in the country have destroyed the credibility and credibility of our entire examination system. Now after the violent demonstration of students at Jantar Mantar and the police action on it, the Congress party has given more importance to this issue. The opposition continues to demand the government to fix its accountability, take strict legal action against the culprits and immediately make major reforms in the country’s education system.
