Oil tanker attacked again in Hormuz. Another ship suffered a massive explosion when it came into contact with naval mines planted by Iran. Recently, this information was revealed by the Iranian news agency Tasnim News. However, no official comment has been made by the Iranian administration on this matter. This incident has naturally raised concerns in the shipping lanes of Hormuz.
On Sunday, the Iranian media reported that the oil tanker had left Iran’s designated safe waterway and entered another route. Because of which it comes in contact with the naval mine. Due to which the ship faced a big explosion. However, no information about the extent of damage or casualties has been released yet.
Incidentally, Iran closed Hormuz when America and Israel launched a joint operation in Iran on February 28. The IRGC had planted water mines at various places in the Strait of Hormuz to strictly stop shipping. Later, Iran informed that they are not able to identify the exact place where the mines were placed.
Apart from Hormuz, another ship carrying Indian sailors was attacked in Odesa port of Ukraine. Two Indian sailors are missing in the incident. According to the Indian Embassy in Kiev, the name of the affected merchant ship is ‘AGN Ragnar’. The ship was anchored in Odessa port. At that time, the missile hit the ship. A total of 4 Indian sailors were in the merchant ship. But after the attack, there is no trace of the two. The other two are safe. A search has already started for the two missing Indians. But who carried out this attack? What is behind this again Russia? It is not clear yet. The embassy said they are in touch with the relevant authorities and are closely monitoring the situation.
