This time the month of Sawan will start from 30th July and will continue till 28th August. During this period lakhs of devotees will come here for Mahakal darshan. For the convenience of the devotees, the timing of Bhasmarti performed every morning at 4 am has been changed. During Sawan, the doors of Mahakal temple will open at 3 am, after which there will be Bhasmarti. Whereas on every Sawan Monday, the doors of Mahakal temple will open at 2.30 pm and after this there will be Bhasmarti.

If the online booking of Mahakal Bhasmarti is full then you can also do offline booking. For this you will have to go to the Bhasmarti counter near Mahakal Temple and fill a form. In this system, a maximum of 150 people are allowed daily. This arrangement is free.
Permission for incineration can also be taken as per the protocol in Mahakal temple. But this system is only for politicians, senior administrative officers, judges etc. For this you will have to directly contact the PRO of Mahakal Temple Committee.
