Commonwealth Games 2026 Day 5, Live Updates: Bindyarani Devi is still in fight for a medal in the 58kg weightlifting event. She is aiming for India's 6th medal of the Commonwealth Games 2026. Earlier, Gyaneshwari Yadav won a silver medal for India in the 53kg category.

India have so far won five medals - one gold, three silver and one bronze (another medal is assured in boxing). In boxing, Sachin Siwach (60kg) and Ankush (80kg) have entered the quarter-finals. Athletics action is also underway at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Monday. India's fastest man, Gurindervir Singh, is out of the race for a place in the men's 100m semi-final, while long-jumpers Murali Sreeshankar and Lokesh Sathyanathan along with 110m hurdles star Tejas Shirse are in the final.
