Eligibility for UPSC Principal Recruitment
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Master's degree from a recognized university.
10 years of service as a Vice-Principal or PGT/TGT teacher in a recognized High School, Higher Secondary School, Senior Secondary School, or Intermediate College.
Maximum age limit: 50 years for General/EWS candidates, 53 years for OBC candidates, and 55 years for SC/ST candidates. PwBD applicants may be granted an age relaxation of up to 10 years, subject to a maximum age limit of 56 years.
**Educational Qualifications for UPSC Vice Principal**
Must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognized university.
Must have completed a Master's degree.
Must possess 2 years of experience as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) or 3 years of experience as a Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT).
The maximum age limit is set at 35 years for General/EWS candidates, 38 years for OBC candidates, and 40 years for SC/ST candidates.
PwD candidates will receive a 10-year age relaxation as per rules (up to a maximum age of 56 years).
**Selection Process**
The first stage of the selection process involves a Combined Recruitment Test (CRT) conducted in pen-and-paper mode. Subsequently, candidates will be shortlisted for an interview. The interviews will also be conducted by the Commission. Candidates appearing for the interview must bring their documents along with a printout of their application.
