Paris Saint-Germain have completed the signing of France international attacking midfielder Maghnes Akliouche, 24, from AS Monaco, with both clubs confirming the transfer. The two Ligue 1 clubs had been in negotiations for several weeks over Akliouche, whose displays for the club where he developed earned him a place in Didier Deschamps’ 2026 World Cup squad.

Akliouche was viewed by the back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners as the ideal replacement for Lee Kang-in, who moved to Atletico Madrid in a €40m transfer. The 24-year-old France international made 139 appearances for the Principality club, scoring 23 goals and registering 28 assists. PSG and Monaco ultimately struck an agreement worth close to €50m. The player completed his medical on Thursday.

Akliouche could make his PSG debut on Saturday, with Luis Enrique’s Paris side due to take on Manchester United in a pre-season friendly. He will wear the No. 11 shirt for the back-to-back UEFA Champions League winners.
