Juventus and Besiktas are both in the picture for Arthur, with Vincenzo Italiano interested in bringing him in.

Interest from Turkey has now surfaced for the Brazilian.

Arthur Melo’s future may once again be away from Juventus. The Brazilian midfielder, born in 1996, has attracted attention from Besiktas, where new manager Vincenzo Italiano is reportedly eager to work again with a player he knows very well and who regained consistency and confidence under him at Fiorentina during the 2023-24 season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Italiano has indicated Arthur to the Besiktas hierarchy as one of the midfield profiles to consider for strengthening the squad. The coach has therefore reportedly asked the club to begin initial contacts with Juventus and assess whether a deal for the Brazilian can be put together.

Arthur may now be set for yet another turn in a career defined by frequent club changes. Back in Turin after his latest loan spell at Gremio, the midfielder is once again considering what comes next. This time, however, the situation may be slightly different: the player is involved in Juventus’ summer training camp and, under Luciano Spalletti, is trying to show enough to persuade the coaching staff to trust him.

He knows Italiano well.

Even so, competition for places and the team’s requirements mean that staying at Juventus is far from certain. That is why the Besiktas route could become a genuine option, especially with Italiano now in charge.

The Italian coach is fully familiar with Arthur’s qualities, having already managed him during their spell together at Fiorentina. In that period, the Brazilian found greater continuity and was able to display the technical ability and passing range that had made him one of the most promising midfielders in European football at the beginning of his career.

A possible move to Turkey would therefore also feel like a professional reunion. Italiano could represent an important guarantee for Arthur, given the relationship they have already developed and his understanding of the player’s attributes. From Arthur’s side, the midfielder could be tempted by the chance to work again with a coach who had previously managed to get the best out of him.

For the moment, though, there is still no concrete offer from Besiktas, and Juventus will need to carefully evaluate any proposal that may arrive. Arthur, meanwhile, remains focused on his summer preparations and on Spalletti’s judgement. His future is still open: on one hand, the chance to fight for his place in Turin; on the other, the opportunity to follow Italiano into a new chapter at Besiktas.

The coming days will be crucial in deciding which direction the Brazilian’s career takes.
