Land acquisition has been completed and construction work has been handed over to L&T and Tata Projects. After getting approval from the Ministry of Environment and Forests, pre-construction activities have started at the site.

In view of the increasing demand for electricity in Madhya Pradesh in the coming years, the government is preparing to add new thermal power capacity.
