Arsenal would reportedly be prepared to sanction a move for Myles Lewis-Skelly this summer if their asking price is met.

According to Ben Jacobs, speaking via The United Stand, the player would also need to rethink his stance over his future at the Emirates, where he currently wants to remain and battle for a place in the side.

Jacobs said on Thursday about Lewis-Skelly: “At the right number, Arsenal would be prepared to do business over Lewis-Skelly, but a club would have to come to them, not the other way round.

“The player would also have to change his mind about fighting for his place at Arsenal.”

This follows reports claiming Lewis-Skelly had been directly offered to Manchester United, as well as Chelsea, who have regularly done business with their London rivals.

Arsenal are aiming to recover some money after their £75 million signing of Bruno Guimaraes, who officially completed his move last weekend.

The Gunners are believed to rate their academy graduate at around £45m, a figure that would no doubt appeal to interested clubs.

INEOS, though, are understood to be focused more firmly on a move for Lewis Hall, but the ongoing problem is Newcastle United’s reluctance to sell, which is proving to be a major hurdle for the Red Devils.

Hall is two years older than 19-year-old Lewis-Skelly and has played 41 more Premier League matches than his compatriot, having become a prominent figure for the Magpies since his £35m move from Chelsea in 2023, made up of £28m upfront plus £7m in add-ons.

The Arsenal youngster found opportunities limited last season because of Riccardo Calafiori’s form and the arrival of Piero Hincapie, and he is likely to face a similar situation once the 2026/2027 campaign begins.
