What started as an experiment with a few cows has grown into a large organic farming venture near Jaipur. Vibhor Jain and Ishita Jain, the husband-wife duo behind Kinaya Organic Farms, now run a farm with around 100 purebred Gir cows and generate up to Rs 20 lakh in monthly revenue. Founded in 2018, the farm combines dairy farming, agroforestry and organic cultivation, with products ranging from fresh milk and ghee to wood-pressed oils, reported Startup Pedia.

A Full-Fledged Farm
Vibhor, who studied computer science, did not want to follow a conventional corporate career after college. His interest in indigenous cattle led him to Gujarat's Kathiawar region, where he spent time learning about the Gir breed from local generational breeders.
“Around that time, his family happened to keep a couple of cows at home, despite having no agricultural or cow-farming background. That became his first exposure to cattle, and I soon developed a fascination for the Gir breed,” Vibhor told Startup Pedia.
He eventually started experimenting with cattle rearing near Jaipur and invested around Rs 20–25 lakh in training, livestock and setting up the initial operation. He began with 20 purebred Gir cows and a breeding bull, spending the next few years learning about cattle management, breeding, feeding and day-to-day care.
After the initial trial, Vibhor moved to a larger permanent property around 35 km from Jaipur. Ishita later joined him full-time, and together they developed Kinaya Organic Farms.
100 Gir Cows And 2,000 Trees
The farm has since expanded beyond dairy farming. It now has more than 2,000 trees, including over 500 mango trees spread across around 40 varieties and more than 300 white sandalwood trees.
Seasonal vegetables and green fodder are also grown between the trees. The farm follows a circular system in which cow dung is processed through a biogas digester, while the resulting slurry is used as organic fertilizer for crops and fodder.
Milk, Ghee And Other Products
The farm's 100 Gir cows produce around 250–300 liters of milk a day. Around 30–35% is sold as fresh milk, while the remaining milk is used for products such as ghee. The farms produce approximately 9 liters of ghee daily.
It also produces colostrum powder, milk powder, wood-pressed oils, organic vegetables, fruits and other products. According to the farm's stated prices, its fresh Gir cow A2 milk costs Rs 150, while its hand-churned Gir cow A2 ghee is priced at Rs 3,490 per liter.
Up To Rs 2.4 Crore Annual Revenue
Kinaya Organic Farms currently earns around Rs 18–20 lakh in monthly revenue from its product sales, excluding income from the sale of livestock. Based on that monthly run rate, the farm's annual revenue comes to approximately Rs 2.16 crore to Rs 2.4 crore.
