Modi government's gift to Bihar before Diwali, four lane network will be laid from Muzaffarpur to Nepal.

A very big and good news has come from the Central Government for the people of Bihar, especially the residents of North Bihar. In the important meeting of the Union Cabinet held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a major decision has been approved to brighten the infrastructure of the state. The government has given green signal to the project of building a magnificent four-lane highway from Muzaffarpur to Nepal border via Sitamarhi and Sonbarsa.

A huge amount of Rs 3591 crore will be spent on the construction of this ambitious road project. With this big step of the Central Government, there is full hope that the road network and connectivity in North Bihar will get a new and faster pace.

Connectivity will be strengthened till Nepal border

While sharing the official information about the decisions taken in the cabinet meeting with the media, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that a total of five big infrastructure projects have been approved in Wednesday's meeting. These include four major railway projects and one major highway project.

The total estimated cost of all these five projects has been kept at ₹13,041 crore. Of these, this four-lane road project to Bihar is being considered very important from strategic and geographical point of view, because it will make it possible to travel without any hindrance to the Nepal border via Muzaffarpur, Sitamarhi and Sonbarsa.

Business and movement of common people will benefit greatly

This four-lane highway to be built from Muzaffarpur to Nepal border will prove to be very important for the overall development of North Bihar. With this road becoming wide and modern, the travel of the local people will not only become easier, but it will also become easier than before to reach the Nepal border. Apart from this, the development of better road network is likely to give a huge boost to trade activities, logistics and freight movement in the border areas.

Railway network was also strengthened

Along with the highway project, the Union Cabinet has also given its approval to four major railway projects to improve the rail infrastructure of the country. These include important schemes to Howrah-Chennai main railway route and expansion of Cuttack-Paradip railway section. According to the government, the completion of these railway projects will significantly increase the capacity of the country's busy railway routes, which will help in timely operation of passenger trains and more smooth movement of goods trains.

A total of Rs 13,041 crore will be spent

A total investment of Rs 13,041 crore will be made on all these five big projects passed by the cabinet. Out of this, Rs 3591 crore will go to the account of Bihar's Muzaffarpur-Sitamarhi-Sonbarsa-Nepal Border Four Lane Highway Project alone. These major decisions of the Central Government are being considered as a big and historic step towards strengthening the country's infrastructure, modern transport and inter-border connectivity of the states.
