Tea is the heartbeat of Indian homes. You must have noticed that most people start their morning with tea. If you get a good tea in the morning, your mind becomes fresh. But often due to a slight mistake its taste gets spoiled. Many people do not know how to make perfect tea. The biggest question in people’s mind is whether water or milk should be poured into the vessel first? The true answer lies in the traditional method of making tea. If you want perfect, strong tea, then this article is for you.
What is the correct way to make tea?
step 1: First of all add water to the vessel. When the water becomes slightly hot, add crushed ginger, cardamom, cloves or chai masala to it. Let the spices boil well with water for 2 to 3 minutes. Due to this, the real essence and aroma of the spices dissolves completely in water.
Step 2: After this, add tea leaves in water and slow down the flame. The tea leaves should be given time to steep in water so that it can release its best color and strong flavor.
Step 3: When the decoction of water, spices and tea leaves is cooked well, then add milk to it. After adding milk, boil the tea on low flame 2 to 3 times so that the milk mixes well with the spices and tea leaves.
Step 4: Sugar should always be added at the end or after cooking milk, because adding sugar first does not bring out the color and taste of the tea leaves.
What is the harm in adding milk first?
If you pour milk into the pot first, the fat and proteins in the milk will form a layer on the tea leaf grains. Due to this, the tea leaves do not completely lose their color and hardness. Apart from this, the flavor of the spices also does not dissolve properly in the milk and the tea does not get the aroma that is expected. Boiling milk with tea leaves for a long time can make the tea taste strange.
