Lucknow: After the body of a woman was found in the forest in Gagalhedi police station area of Saharanpur, the police has claimed to have solved the mystery of the murder. Let us tell you, on August 14, the body of the woman was found in the forest. Meanwhile, after the post mortem report confirmed murder, the police started investigation and the deceased was identified as Imrana, resident of Kheda Mavi Khurd. The police have arrested his neighbor Shamshad Jogi in the case.
According to the police, there was an alleged love affair between Shamshad and Imrana for the last 7-8 months. Imrana worked in a pharmaceutical company in Chhutmalpur and Shamshad would often drop her to work and bring her back on his bike. During this time, the closeness between the two had increased.
According to SP City Vyom Bindal, talks were going on for the marriage of Imrana's daughter Afreen. Due to this, Imrana was asking for financial help from Shamshad, but he was not ready to give the money. There was often dispute between the two regarding this matter. Police also say that Shamshad was angry over Imrana's alleged relationship with Kesar alias Keshav.
According to the police, Shamshad, fed up with the constant disputes, planned the murder. Police claim that on the evening of August 13, he came to pick up Imrana from the company, during which he left his mobile at home and also made changes in the bike, so that it would be difficult to identify him from the CCTV footage. After this, he took Imrana to the forest of Nangal Ahir village on the pretext of giving her money and meeting her.
According to the police, Shamshad asked Imrana to take off her clothes. As soon as he started taking off his clothes, Shamshad attacked Imrana several times on her head and face with a rod kept in the bike, due to which she died. After this the body was thrown into the drain. The police have claimed to have broken the woman's mobile phone and thrown it in the pond and also put rods in the water.
The police examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed on the roads leading to Imrana and around the incident site. After suspicious activities came to light, the suspicion of investigation fell on Shamshad. After this, the police arrested him on 22 August near Harora Cut. According to the police, during interrogation the accused confessed to the murder and on the basis of investigation, the police presented the accused in the court, from where he was sent to jail.
