After lining up seventh on the grid, Max Verstappen failed to finish his final home grand prix at Zandvoort after crashing his RB22 at the 14th and last corner of the circuit on Sunday afternoon.

Running on hard tyres in damp conditions, Max Verstappen lost control and hit the outside wall before being thrown back across the track and striking the inside wall. The crash triggered a 40-minute red flag at the start of the Dutch Grand Prix.

The Verstappen crash worked in Kimi Antonelli’s favour, allowing him to move into second at the original start and then take the lead at the lap four restart after the crash scene had been cleared.

George Russell struggled in the early stages of the Dutch Grand Prix and dropped from a front-row starting position to fourth.
