Bilibili Monetization Eligibility Rules: A very exciting and relief news has come out for the content creators all over the world. Until now, YouTube has dominated in terms of video monetization and revenue, but now China’s hugely popular video-sharing platform ‘Bilibili’ is gearing up to give it a tough competition. Bilibili is now expanding its network internationally beyond its Chinese domestic market. Reports of huge payouts being offered by the platform to attract global creators have created a stir on social media.
According to a viral post shared by a user on X (formerly Twitter), Bilibili is paying its creators up to around $0.70 (around ₹60 in Indian currency) per 1,000 views. If this calculation proves correct, creators who get 1 million views can earn up to approximately $700 (approximately ₹58,000 to ₹66,000) without any tax deduction. However, digital experts say that Bilibili has not yet made any official announcement regarding the pay per view amount, but this figure alone is enough to grab the attention of creators.
Bilibili’s official Creator Program documentation indicates that there is no fixed rate of earnings. According to the platform, the actual income of the creator will depend on the following key factors:
Audience Geography: Viewers from US or Europe will get higher payouts.
Advertiser Demand and Video Category: Technology and Gaming will get more ads.
Monetization Products: Leveraging Sponsorships and Fan Gifting.
Additionally, government taxes, invalid traffic (bot views), refunds and policy violations will be deducted from the estimated earnings.
The platform has set certain criteria to start monetizing videos on Bilibili. A channel must have at least 100 subscribers. It is mandatory to have at least 2,000 acceptable and public views. Merely meeting these conditions will not result in immediate monetization. The company will carefully check content for originality, copyright rules and community guidelines. Accounts that purchase fake views or fake subscribers will be permanently banned.
According to reports, Bilibili has relaunched its international app with new features. The company is developing a global English website and is rapidly recruiting local Community Managers in key markets such as the US, Europe, Japan and Latin America from August 2026. In addition to advertising revenue, Bilibili is also building a new marketplace that will connect creators directly with international brands and sponsorships. As the platform continues to gain momentum globally, there is every chance that YouTube will emerge as a strong alternative for creators.
