Wet hair is more delicate than dry hair. When there is water in the hair, their elasticity increases, due to which they can easily stretch and break. In such a situation, dermatologist Aanchal Panth says that rubbing the hair vigorously, pulling it or tying it tightly immediately after washing the hair can harm the hair. If you also tie your wet hair after bathing and start doing your work, then you need to be a little careful.

Do not make these mistakes after washing wet hair

  • Do not tie ponytail in wet hair: It seems easy to tie wet hair in a ponytail in a hurry, but doing so should be avoided. Making a tight ponytail can increase tension on the hair roots and especially around the temples. Doing this for a long time can increase the risk of hair breakage. If it is necessary to tie your hair, keep it very loose.
  • Avoid making a bun in wet hair: Tying wet hair tightly into a bun is also not considered right. During this time, hair may become more entangled among themselves and friction between the hair fibers may increase. This can increase the chances of hair breakage and damage. Therefore, first let the hair dry a little and only then make a bun.

You can try this method

  • half up half down: If it is not possible to keep wet hair open, then you can try half-up half-down hairstyle. Take a few strands of hair and tie them very loosely with the help of a clip. Keep in mind that there should not be too much tension on the hair and the clip should not be too tight.
  • You can blow-dry wet hair: Blow-dryer can also be used to dry hair, but in the correct manner. A study found that proper blow-drying caused less damage to the hair compared to air-drying. When using a blow-dryer, use a low-heat setting and keep the dryer about 6 inches away from the hair. Instead of keeping the dryer in one place continuously, keep moving it lightly. If your hair fall is excessive then follow these tips given by the doctor.
