He further said, ‘Obviously, given the current situation, even I did not think that this would happen. By 2026, I thought that I would take this team forward for the next two years. Olympics will come. Then there will be another T20 World Cup, there will be another challenge ahead, but at the same time, what you think and what the other person thinks are two different things. It is important for them to respect their thinking. If he felt it was a better decision to move forward, he took that decision, but I didn’t react because I felt it was his decision.
